Blue Star Service Flags 8"x14"

Service Flags were first seen hanging in windows during World War I and again during World War II.  Today, once again,  they are gaining popularity during the "War on Terrorism".  The blue star(s) in the center  represents each *immediate family member serving in the military during times of war or hostility.  If a service member dies, the blue star is covered by a gold star, slightly smaller in size so that the blue outline of the original star shows. *According to USMilitary.About.com, "Immediate family member is defined as: wife, husband, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, parent through adoption, foster parents who stand or stood in loco parentis, children, stepchildren, children through adoption, brothers, sisters, half brothers, and half sisters of a member of the Armed Forces of The United States." $10.00 / Each
